About Us
Chattanooga Stoneworks has been Chattanooga's trusted custom-countertop fabricator and installer for over 25 years. We are an MBE/WBE-certified, woman-owned shop led by Melanie E. Otero, and we have built our reputation one kitchen at a time — by listening hard, designing carefully, and standing behind every install.
Our close-knit team averages 15–25 years of stone experience each. We do this work because we love it: the slab selection at the yard, the templating after the cabinets are level, the in-shop fabrication, and the moment the homeowner walks in and sees the room finished. The majority of our clientele comes to us through repeat business and referrals — the highest compliment a local shop can be paid.
We've been featured nationally on HGTV's "America's Ugliest House" and locally on WRCB Channel 3's "3 Plus You" for over five years. We've been voted Top 3 in the Chattanooga Times Free Press "Best of the Best" for countertops in 2025, 2023 and 2022. But the recognition we care about most is when a client refers their sister, their neighbor, or comes back five years later for the powder room.
